Inspiration: The Nig-Heist
The logo of 1980's LA punk band The Nig-Heist is an important inspiration for Tres Leches. We believe Ray Pettibon designed it. His brother, Greg Ginn, founder of SST Records, was in the band. D. Boon of The Minutemen was their roadie. They often opened for Black Flag. They were almost as much of a supergroup as Tres Leches!
(Thanks to Roger Gastman for allowing Tres Leches to photograph this extremely rare Nig-Heist flyer, part of his personal collection.)
